Device numbering rules

After the devices are arranged in rows and columns, they are numbered starting from the top-left corner, proceeding row by row and column by column.

For single-axis tracker projects, more numbering choice can be selected in the "User settings" interface.

Numbering arrays

The default number of array is "Gxx.xx.xx.xx", where "x" represents a number and "G" represents the array. For example, "G01.02.03.04" , 04 is the number of array, 03 is the number of L1 device, 02 is the number of L2 device, while 01 is the number of power block. If there is no L2 combiner device, its default number is "Gxx.xx.xx".

Nmubering strings

For an array only contains one string, the string number is the same as the array; If an array contains several strings, the code of the strings is "Gxx.xx.xx.xx-1", "Gxx.xx.xx.xx-2" (from top to bottom, from left to right), and so on.

Numbering L1 device

The default rule for assigning L1 combiner devices is "Axx.xx.xx", where "x" represents a number and "A" represents the device type. When L1 combiner device is a combiner box, "A" is displayed as "H", and when L1 combiner device is an inverter, "A" is displayed as "N". For example, "N01.02.03" represents the 03 inverter under the 02 L combiner device of the 01 power block. If the PV system does not have a L2 combiner device, its default code is "Gxx.xx".

Numbering L2 device

The default rule for assigning L2 combiner devices is "Bxx.xx", where "x" represents a number and "B" represents the device type. When L2 combiner device is a combiner box, "B" is displayed as "J", and when it is an inverter, "B" is displayed as "N". For example, "J01.02" represents the 02 AC combiner box under the 01 power block.

Numbering power block / transformer

The default rule for assigning power blocks (transformer) is "Txx", where "x" represents a number and "T" represents a transformer. For example, "T01" represents power block 01.

Numbering cable

The rules for the array without dividing the power blocks are as follows:

"Unconnected arrays -2# -4-2" represents the arrays in the 4th row and 2nd column of partition 2#. The partition here refers to the layout area manually or automatically divided in the "Create zones".
