14.3 Parallel projection and top view

SketchUp is a fully 3D interface software, and when performing clicking and other operations in the interface, there may be deviations between the actual clicked position and the intended clicked position due to the principle of 3D perspective, especially when performing area division and other operations in the 3D interface. Therefore, it is recommended that users switch the display mode to "Parallel Projection" and switch the view to "Top" view when they need relatively accurate point selection positions. The specific method is as follows:

Menu bar → "Camera", select "Parallel Projection".

The adjustment method for "Top" view can be found in section 8.4.2, or users can use the shortcut keys "Alt + CST" (holding down Alt while continuously clicking the letter keys "C", "S", and "T") to switch to "Top" view.
