11.1 Introduction to "Candela3D simulation" mode
The "Candela3D simulation" mode has the ability to calculate the annual 8760 hour power generation of the PV system within the model. Its composition mainly includes four core parts: "Meteo data and device model", "Detailed losses", Bifacial gain", and "Annual yield simulation".
Tips: In Candela3D software, both the "Production" function (detailed function introduction can be found in section 5.34 of this manual) and the "Candela3D simulation" mode can be used to calculate the annual power generation of the PV array in the model. However, there are differences between them: the "Production" function is limited to calculating 288 hours of data, that is, selecting one day (usually the middle of the month) as a typical representative every month and calculating the relevant losses and power generation of the PV system for 24 hours on that day. The power generation of other days in that month is treated as the typical day of that month. Relatively speaking, in the "Candela3D simulation" mode, the software will calculate the relevant losses and power generation for 8760 hours throughout the year, with more accurate calculation results, but its calculation speed is slower than the "Production" function. |
