Review shading

User can click the "Review shading" button in the toolbar to enter the function.

Review shading

The "Review shading" funtion is used to check the shading of arrays. The time indicated in this function is based on true solar time.

If "Adjust material to improve the contrast" is checked by user, the color of arrays will be set to white. if it's unchecked, the arrays will display the module material picture.

User can click the "Animation" button to display the shadow conditions for a specified time period (true solar time) on a given day (the animation may not be smooth when the project capacity is large).

For Single-axis trackers, the software will automatically calculate the rotation angle and rotate following the direction of the sun.

Shaded arrays statistics

This function is used to find out the arrays that are shaded by other arrays at a specified date and time point.

Interval

The default is 3 hours, indicating that a time point will be selected every 3 hours between the "Start" and "End" times for the shading calculation.

The interface indicates that on December 22, 2023, at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m., any array that is shaded by other arrays for at least one of these times, and where the shading area exceeds 1%, will be selected.

Purpose

"Delete shaded array": If Array A is selected, Array B will only be shaded by Array A, and thus will not be selected. because after the software remove Array A, Array B will no longer be shaded.

"Shaded arrays statistics": All shaded arrays will be selected.

Show arrays's shadow

This function is primarily designed to show the shadows on the terrain or other arrays during a time period.

Draw arrays's shadow

This function is primarily designed to calculate the shadows cast by arrays on the terrain, as well as the shadows cast on other arrays.

After the calculation is completed, shadow lines will be generated, and user can export the lines when export c2c file.

The layer name for the shadow cast on terrain starts with "Terrain_shadow", followed by the year, month, day, and time.

The layer name for the shadow cast on other arrays starts with "Array_shadow", followed by the year, month, day, and time.
