After entering this tool, you can view the cable paths of each grid connection point, as well as cable section, and cable length. It can automatically calculate or manually edit the connection relationship.
Before entering a single grid connection point
After entering the tool, move the mouse up and down on the legend of the grid connection point in the upper left corner (hover the mouse without clicking the left button) to display the path of the corresponding medium voltage grid connection point, and right-click to bring up the menu.
The main functions are as follows:
-
Modify, lock and re-tag the grid connection point/MV point
-
Modify the 'Max distance from trans.to MV trench' .
- Statistics on the length and cost of all MV cables.
-
Recalculate/Clear Connection Relationship: After modifying the wiring and path, this function can be used to recalculate the connection relationship.
-
Switch to other tools.

Reason 1: The transformer (or middle point) belonging to the grid connection point is not connected to the medium voltage path, as in the case of the #2 grid connection point.
Reason 2: The connection relationship is incomplete, as in the case of the #3 grid connection point.
Reason 3: It is also possible that both of the above situations exist.
If any of the above reasons occur, you can manually edit or right-click to recalculate the connection relationships.
Note: To prevent automatic changes in manually edited connection relationships, the connection relationship of each grid connection point is automatically calculated only once after entering the cable viewing tool.

After entering a single grid connection point
You can enter a single grid connection point by clicking on the grid connection point legend / grid connection point entity / power block belonging to the grid connection point.
By clicking on the legend/transformer entity/power block, you can view the cable path from the transformer to the next device. The SketchUp interface will display the length, section, and number of cables in the lower left corner.
Right-click to open the menu: View and edit connection relationships
- Move the mouse to the connecting line (dark blue), and the connecting line will turn bright. Right click to clear the connection between the two.
- Click on two devices or power blocks in sequence with the mouse to establish a connection relationship.
- The connection relationship is a tree like structure based on the connection point as the root, and cannot be circular.
