7.10 Production

The software calculates the energy yield based on the 3D model of the project and meteorological data information, according to the relevant loss settings input by the users. Among them, near shadings takes into account the influence of other arrays, shading objects, as well as the terrains, and can be calculated by linear or by string.
7.10.1 Relevant loss settings
As shown in the following figure, corresponding values need to be set in the "Detailed losses". In the software, it supports grouping based on the normals of the arrays. For most projects, the larger the number of groups, the more accurate the calculation. The default number of groups in PVsyst software before version 8.0 is 8.

7.10.2 Calculation of power generation
According to users settings, the power generation of the project can be calculated, and the 25 year power generation can be exported.
The power generation of some arrays can be calculated by "Selected PV zones" or "Selected arrays".
Before using the "Selected arrays" method, please use SU's selection tool to select the arrays to be calculated first.
