7.2 Array Statistical Analysis

Array statistical analysis is divided into four types:

Each type supports three analyze type: "All arrays", "Selected PV zones" and "Selected arrays". If only analyze some arrays, use SU select tools to select them, then re-enter this function and select "Selected arrays" type.

For the differences between nominal tilt/azimuth/base slope, and real tilt/azimuth, please refer to PVsyst software -3D modeling interface - Orientation analysis tool (educational).

7.2.1 According to Real tilt and azimuth

Select "Real tilt/azimuth" to enter the Tilt/Azimuth real value count interface, as shown in the above figure, the interface will display the degree and ratio of the array's Tilt/Azimuth real value and the distribution of the real azimuth.
After click the "Show mark" button, the software will render the array in cyan and display its Tilt/Azimuth real value on each array. Click "Close mark" again to to close the displayed mark information.

1) Calculator module
Click the "Calculator" button to enter the calculator module:
① By nominal tilt: Enter the Nom. tilt, azimuth and base slope of the array, click calculate, and the software calculates its real tilt, azimuth and the total year radiation on array surface;
② By real tilt: Enter the real tilt and azimuth of the array. After click calculate, the software calculates the year total radiation received by the array surface.

2) Find module
The software supports find the array that meets the real tilt and real azimuth input value within range or out of range. The standard range of azimuth is -180 to 180 °, and the due south is 0 °. When it is necessary to find the array facing north, enter 135~225 °, and the software auto recognizes 135~180 ° and -135 °~-180 °. Only those within the range of real tilt and azimuth range at the same time will be judged as "within range".
After the find operation done is completed, the software will auto select the array that meets the search condition, and the border of such array will be blue.

3) Count module
Click the "Count" button, and the software will tip the user to select the count type:

① Statistics by orientation
After select "Statistics by orientation" type, the user needs to enter "Grouping tolerance" and select the version corresponding to PVsyst.

The grouping here is similar to the orientation management function in the PVsyst 3D modeling interface. The software will prompt how many groups to divide based on the grouping accuracy entered by the user, and then export them to Excel.

When the grouping accuracy here is consistent with that of PVsyst, the number of arrays (string numbers) exported for each group can be used as a reference for system settings in PVsyst:

② Statistics by Real tilt/azimuth
After select the type of "Statistics by Real tilt/azimuth", the software will enter the Array statistics settings interface.
In this interface, the user needs to Setting "Step of real tilt", "Step of real azimuth" and "Start azimuth". After setting is done, click the "Save parameters" button to save the parameters for count. After done the "Save parameters", the user can click the "Calculate" button to count the qty. of arrays and other parameters.
The software can count the g_tilt (excluding shading loss) if the shading loss calculation done.

After click Calculate, there may be some rows without count results. The user can click "Delete rows without arrays" button to delete all rows with zero quantity, or click "Delete" button to delete a row.

The user can click the "Select" button, and then select the array within the within range of the displayed parameters. You can also click the "Insert" button to insert a blank row, and customize the real tilt and real azimuth in the blank rows.
The user can click "Export" button to export the count results in this interface.

7.2.2 According to Nominal tilt/azimuth/base slope

Select "Nominal tilt & azimuth/base slope" to enter the nominal tilt/azimuth/base slope count interface, as shown in the above figure, which will display the degree and ratio of the array's nominal tilt/azimuth/base slope and the distribution map of the base slope.
After click the "Show mark" button, the software will render the array in cyan and display its Tilt/Azimuth real value on each array. Click "Close mark" again to close the displayed mark information.

Under this function, the software is mainly divided into two modules: the calculator module, the find module and the count module.
Find module
The range is ≥ and ≤. Only when all checked conditions on the interface meet, will it be judged as "within Range".
The standard range of azimuth and terrain slope is -180 to 180 °, and the due south is 0 °. When it is necessary to find the array facing north, enter 135~225 °, and the software auto recognizes 135~180 ° and -135 °~-180 °.
2) Count module
After the user clicks the "Count" button in the interface, the software will pop up the below dialog box.

The user should check the type of table to be export, and if necessary, setting and export each type of table. The following is an example of "Count arrays by terrain slope and aspect" in No. 4. Click "Setting" to enter the settings interface.

In this interface, the user can click the "Export" button. The count result will be export to excel table.

7.2.3 Array Types

The user can click the "Find" button, and then the software will select the array of this type.

7.2.4 Array pitch
This function is used to calculate and display the Pitch/Clear pitch of the array.

After calculation done, the software will render the array in cyan, and display the Pitch/Clear Pitch of the array on the array. When the mouse move to an array, the line segments used in calculate of the array Pitch/Clear Pitch will be displayed (displayed in yellow).

Right click to select the corresponding function.

"Switch to Clear pitch": the software displays pitch by defaults, and click to switch to clear pitch. The software will display the currently displayed pitch type in the lower left corner of the screen.

"Modify the maximal N-S pitch": Modify the maximum north-south pitch displayed. For example, if the set value is 10.0m, then if the pitch of the array is greater than the set value, ">10.0" will be displayed on the array.
"Find arrays": after click this item, the following input box will pop up. The user can enter the corresponding parameters as required. After click "OK", the software will auto select arrays that meets the search condition.

"Export data": Click to enter the settings interface.

Click the "Export" button. The count result will be export to excel table.
