5.9 Connect modules into strings

5.9.1 Applicable Scenarios
1)PV Modules between arrays may be interconnected in strings, such as flexible supports:

2)Special multi-string array: The array has multiple strings, but it cannot be described by the number of strings in each row or column

5.9.2 Create array
When create array, the strings number of array should be check "Determined at confluence"
.
5.9.3 Deselect modules, right-click menu related function

1)All modules are automatically string together: All modules are automatically connected in series, following the principles set out in the diagram below.

"Number of modules per string": User can enter the number of modules for each string.
"Connection starting point": There are four methods: up(left), up(right), down(left), and down(right). When the up(left) is selected, the convergence starts from the top row and the leftmost module. The same logic applies to the other methods.
"Connection type": There are two types in this function.
"Each row is connected end-to-end": The result is as shown in the figure below:

"Remaining modules in each row are connected end-to-end": The result is as shown in the figure below:

"Maximum connectable distance between modules(m)": The distance between the center points of modules. If the distance between modules exceeds this value, they cannot be grouped into one string.
"Merge adjacent rows with the same number of modules": When an array consists of multiple rows of modules, during automatic merging, multiple rows of modules can be treated as a whole and merged with adjacent modules to form a string.
"Maximum number of merged rows": This function becomes effective when "Yes" is selected for "Merge adjacent rows with the same number of modules". It represents the total number of rows for the upper and lower modules as a whole.
2)"Clear all string connections": User can clear all module connections by using this function.
5.9.4 Selected PV modules and right-click menu related function

1)"Create a new string for the selected module": After user manually select the modules, user can create a string with a maximum of 100 modules.
2)"Select modules and automatically string them together": Similar to "All modules automatically string together".
3)"Clear the selected string connections": User can clear the string connection for the selected PV module.
4)"Delete selected modules": User can delete the selected modules, with an array as the smallest unit by using this function.
5.9.5 Right-click menu functions for grouped string arrays
For the array with divided strings, user can move the mouse to the corresponding position, or select any number of modules in the array and right-click to access the menu. From there, user can choose to "Copy the string connection of the current array to the unconnected array of the same template" (Note: This function also supports arrays with partially divided strings.)

5.9.6 Export
When the user exports the results to CAD, and the result in CAD will add layers named "array_virtual_module_str", "module_to_string", and "module_index" layer. It respectively represents the PV string of the array according to the PV module combine, the PV module wiring inside the strings and the PV module tag inside the strings.
