13.5 Installing and uninstalling

13.5.1 CAD plugin installing

The installing method of this CAD plugin is as follows:

①Please enter the command "netload" in the CAD interface;

②Select the "CandelaLoader.dll" file in the corresponding CAD version folder in the pop-up interface, and click "OK" button after selecting the file;

③After above steps, CAD will pop up an inquiry interface to ask about the installing method. If users choose "Load once", this loading will become invalid after closing and reopening CAD. If users choose "Always load" the plugin will load every time users start CAD automatically. Please note that if users choose "Always load", please do not change the storage path of "CandelaLoader.dll" again, otherwise it may cause loading failure.

13.5.2 CAD plugin uninstalling

①Close CAD;

②Delete or rename the folder containing "CandelaLoader.dll".

③If users cannot find the folder where "CandelaLoader.dll" is located, click "Open the current plugin path" to quickly open the folder where "CandelaLoader.dll" is located.

13.5.3 Reasons for CAD plugin loading failure and corresponding handling methods

13.5.3.1 According to the steps, determine the reason for the unsuccessful loading.

①Users can right click on the "CandelaLoader.dll" file to view its properties. If there is an option to "Unlock", please check "OK". In addition, "Candela3D.dll" and "CandelaRoof.dll" in the plugins folder are also processed in the same way.

② The folder containing the old version "CandelaLoader.dll" has not been deleted.

13.5.3.2 CAD cannot use commands other than plugin icons.

Users can enter the command "meunbar" in CAD, enter the value "1" after entering, and click "Enter" again to successfully bring up the menu bar. All commands in the Candela3D CAD plugin can be used in it.

13.5.3.3 In CAD, commands can be used to perform operations, but command icons cannot be displayed.

Users can select "Candela3D VX. X. X" in the "Tools" section of the toolbar.

If the above operation still cannot solve the problem, users can follow the following steps to solve it:

①In the "Tools" toolbar, please check any plugin in "AutoCAD", taking "3D Navigation" as an example;

②After the selection is completed, a floating "3D Navigation" toolbar will appear below the toolbar.

③Double clicking on the leftmost point drag area of the toolbar will place it on the toolbar.

④Right click on the blank space in the toolbar and select "Candela3D VX. X. X".

13.5.3.4 The CAD plugin has been uninstalled and installed correctly according to the operating steps, but when using the command, it still displays: Unknown command

There may be two possible reasons:

①The loaded CAD plugin version does not correspond to the current CAD version. For example, if using AutoCAD2018, the CAD version plugin corresponding to AutoCAD2018 needs to be loaded.

②The antivirus software on the computer mistakenly killed relevant files in the CAD plugin folder. Users can add the CAD plugin folder to the whitelist of antivirus software and recover mistakenly killed files in the recovery area.

13.5.3.5 The command can be used, but the interface does not pop up

The plugin has been installed correctly and all commands can be used. However, in some commands, there is no pop-up window for the corresponding operation. For example, when users use the "gc2c" command, the command line keeps displaying "Reading block reference, please wait" and the dialog box does not pop up.

The CAD plugin will default to remembering the position of the previous related operation interface. If the computer screen changes from portrait to landscape and the previous related operation interface was above the screen in portrait, the problem will occur. The solution is to reset the interface position, find the option in the red box in the registry, delete it, and reopen CAD.
