7.8 Export PVsyst

This function can export the array model in SketchUp into a "*.dae" or "*.h2p" file recognized by PVsyst,, and import it in PVsyst's "Construction".
After click, the following dialog box will pop up, and the users need to select export range as "All", "Specify range" or "Select power block" .

If users choose "Specify range"", users can left click on the defined export range and right click "Done".

If select "Select power block" , in the pop-up dialog box, the users needs to manual entry "Power block number" and "Expansion range of power block". The power block tag number supports below enter forms: 305-307,279-281,294.

7.8.1 Export "*.dae" and "*.h2p" file
After select "Export range", the software will pop up the below dialog box.

"File format": The users need to select the format of the export file as "*.dae File" or "*.h2p File".
"Export option": The users should check the options to export in the current model. When "*.h2p File" is selected as "File format", only mountains and array can be exported.
Objects that do not exist in the model cannot be export even if check.
After done setting, click "Export" button. If there are many terrain faces in the model, the following tip will pop up:

If select "No", the software will not simplify the terrain. In this case, the exported file will be extremely slow when calculated in PVsyst. Therefore, it is not recommended to adopt this approach.
If select "Yes", the following dialog box will pop up. The users need to set relevant parameters, and the software will simplify the terrain according to the parameters set by the users.

7.8.2 Import "*.dae" file to PVsyst
It may take several minute time to import a "*.dae" file into PVsyst.
After the end of export, the pop-up interface needs to check the name of the array:

For PVsyst 7.x, after imported dae in PVsyst, it is necessary to do "manage orientations" for imported PV arrays.

The value of "Tolerance" needs to be set according to the project situation, usually between 3°-5° for complex terrain projects; It can be calculated through the "Array analysis" - "Export" function in Candela3D. When the set value is too small, it will prompt that some arrays has not been grouped.
After PVsyst 8.0, "Manage orientation" is not needed.
7.8.3 Import "*.h2p" file to PVsyst
It is similar to dae.
7.8.4 Export layout of N-S horizontal axis trackers to PVsyst
1) Layout
The N-S horizontal axis trackers is generally the N-S axis, and the azimuth is selected to be 90°.
The pitch of N-S horizontal axis trackers is generally not determined by shadings and needs to be determined through economic comparison. Therefore, it is recommended to choose "Customize pitch".

2) Export
Please export "*.dae" files through Candela3D plugin in SketchUp.
3) Import in PVsyst7.3 or later versions

4) Import in PVsyst7.4 and above versions
